System functions

The production system is still being finalized. These are the core functions currently built into the COMANDO platform, with additional capabilities and final specifications to be announced closer to launch.

01

Smart Auto Mode

Runs the Solo lighting experience when riding alone, then moves into synchronized Convoy Mode when qualifying COMANDO systems connect.

02

Convoy Synchronization

Orders connected vehicles and treats each pair of whips as one pixel, allowing lighting effects to travel through the convoy.

03

Solo Light Show

Keeps both whips synchronized through an automatic library of colorful animated effects whenever the vehicle is riding solo.

04

GPS Direction Filter

Uses heading, speed, and confirmation time to reduce unwanted links with vehicles traveling in the opposite direction.

05

COMANDO SAFE

Detects a sudden slowdown on the equipped vehicle and triggers its own high-visibility red strobe response.

06

Bluetooth App Control

Provides system status, operating modes, manual colors, effects, transition timing, and addressable lighting zones from Android.

Coming soon

Final feature availability may change as testing and production development continue.

Pixel-level creativity, simplified

Meet Zones

Zones let a rider divide each 256-LED whip into a chosen number of controllable sections. Instead of programming every LED, the app turns the whip into 2–20 visual building blocks that are fast to color and animate.

01

Divide

Choose any zone count from 2 to 20. COMANDO divides the full LED length into equal sections automatically.

02

Address

Edit both whips together or target Whip 1 and Whip 2 independently for different layouts on each side.

03

Animate

Apply the chosen zone colors to linear flows, pulses, scans, bursts, and waves, then tune zone-effect speed separately.

Zones are for custom Manual Mode designs. Automatic Solo and Convoy modes continue using their dedicated synchronized effect libraries.

Stronger together

One system. Every ride.

Ride alone with full animated effects. Meet another COMANDO rider and the systems can form a synchronized convoy automatically.

01

Connect without stopping the ride

Nearby COMANDO systems discover one another. GPS heading and speed checks help reject riders moving in the opposite direction while preserving easy joining for riders headed your way.

Vehicle-as-pixel synchronization

Convoy Mode, visualized.

COMANDO treats each vehicle as one large lighting pixel. The two whips on that vehicle always display the same convoy color, while a timing offset carries the effect from the leader through every rider in order.

One vehicle, one pixel

Whip 1 and Whip 2 match each other on every vehicle during Convoy Mode.

Ordered timing

The leader starts the sequence and each following rider receives the next timed position.

Shared effects

Colors, strobes, waves, and signature sequences move through the group as one display.

The vehicles are stationary in this visualization. The animated whip colors demonstrate the lighting sequence traveling through convoy order.

Built for the whole night

Four ways COMANDO works

01

Convoy Mode

Timed effects travel from the front vehicle to the last, with each pair of whips acting as one synchronized convoy pixel.

02

Solo Mode

A full library of colorful effects runs automatically when no convoy connection is present.

03

Manual Mode

Use the COMANDO Android app to address each whip, build gradients and palettes, or create up to 20 lighting zones.

04

COMANDO SAFE

When the equipped vehicle slows abruptly, its own whips trigger a high-visibility red strobe response.

Before you ride

Common questions

Does each system control two whips?

Yes. The current COMANDO system is designed around a pair of individually addressable LED whips on one vehicle.

What happens when I ride alone?

Auto mode runs the Solo effect library when no qualifying convoy connection is present, then changes to the synchronized convoy experience when other COMANDO riders join.

Will an opposite-direction convoy join mine?

The system uses GPS heading, speed, and confirmation rules to ignore vehicles traveling in the opposite direction while both are moving.

Do I need internet on the trail?

No internet connection is required for local COMANDO lighting synchronization or direct Bluetooth app control.
